Clinch scenarios for Playoffs’ Championship 4

One race and two more spots are up for grabs in the Championship 4 for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs. Sunday’s Can-Am 500 at ISM Raceway in Phoenix (2:30 p.m. ET, NBC/NBC Sports App, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) will see six drivers compete for the final spots available in the postseason finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Nov. 18.

Joey Logano punched his ticket into the Championship 4 with a win at Martinsville Speedway, while Kevin Harvick dominated at Texas Motor Speedway to continue his run toward a second career title.

With two slots up for the taking, here’s what each playoff driver will have to accomplish in Phoenix to keep his championship hopes alive (drivers listed in order of their points ranking):

• Kyle Busch: Busch can clinch with 53 points and a new winner.  If there is a repeat winner (or a win by Martin Truex Jr. or a non-playoff driver), he would clinch with 28 points. With a win, he would clinch.

• Martin Truex Jr.: Truex would clinch on points with 55 points and a new winner. If there is a repeat winner (or a win by Kyle Busch or a non-playoff driver), he would clinch with 31 Points. With a win, he would clinch.

• Kurt Busch: The only guaranteed result that gives Kurt Busch a Championship 4 spot is a win. Busch could also clinch on points, but would need help depending on the winner.

• Chase Elliott: The only guaranteed result that gives Elliott a Championship 4 spot is a win. Elliott could also clinch on points, but would need help depending on the winner.

• Aric Almirola: Almirola can only clinch a spot with a win.

• Clint Bowyer: Bowyer can only clinch a spot with a win.

NASCAR Xfinity Series

In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, three spots in the Championship 4 are up for grabs in Saturday’s Whelen Trusted To Perform 200 (3:30 p.m. ET, NBC/NBC Sports App, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

Cole Custer is the lone driver to clinch a Championship 4 spot with a win at Texas. Here’s what each playoff driver will have to accomplish in Phoenix to keep his championship hopes alive (drivers listed in order of their points ranking):

• Tyler Reddick: Reddick would clinch with 46 points and a new winner.  If there is a repeat winner (or a win by Elliott Sadler, Daniel Hemric or a non-playoff driver), Reddick would clinch on points with 35 Points. With a win, he would clinch.

• Elliott Sadler: Sadler would clinch with 54 points and a new winner. If there is a repeat winner (or a win by Tyler Reddick, Daniel Hemric or a non-playoff driver), he would clinch on points with 43 Points.  With a win, he would clinch.

• Daniel Hemric: Hemric would clinch with 55 points and a new winner.  If there is a repeat winner (or a win by Tyler Reddick, Elliott Sadler or a non-playoff driver), he would clinch on points with 44 Points. With a win, he would clinch.

• Justin Allgaier: The only guaranteed result that gives Allgaier a Championship 4 spot is a win. Allgaier could also clinch on points, but would need help depending on the winner.

• Matt Tifft: The only guaranteed result that gives Tifft a Championship 4 spot is a win. Tifft could also clinch on points, but would need help depending on the winner.

Christopher Bell: The only guaranteed result that gives Bell a Championship 4 spot is a win. Bell could also clinch on points, but would need help depending on the winner.

Austin Cindric: Cindric can only clinch a spot with a win.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will be in action Friday night for the Lucas Oil 150 (8:30 p.m. ET, FS1, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

Johnny Sauter locked up a Championship 4 spot with a win at Martinsville, while Justin Haley prevailed at Texas to secure his fate in Miami. Here’s what each playoff driver will have to accomplish in Phoenix to keep his championship hopes alive (drivers listed in order of their points ranking):

• Brett Moffitt: Moffitt would clinch with 51 points and a new winner. If there is a repeat winner (or a win by Noah Gragson or a non-playoff driver), he would clinch on points with 33 points. With a win, he would clinch.

• Noah Gragson: If there is a repeat winner (or a win by Brett Moffitt or a non-playoff driver), Gragson would clinch with 38 Points. With a win, he would clinch. Could clinch on points with a new winner, but would need help.

• Grant Enfinger: The only guaranteed result that gives Enfinger a Championship 4 spot is a win. Enfinger could also clinch on points, but would need help depending on the winner.

• Matt Crafton: The only guaranteed result that gives Crafton a Championship 4 spot is a win. Crafton could also clinch on points, but would need help depending on the winner.
