Isky Racing Cams Tackles The Gen III Hemi Valvetrain


When your Company’s namesake is known as the “Camfather”, it only makes sense that you offer a full lineup of camshaft and valvetrain components for the most popular applications. It seems as if the most popular new application at this years show is the Gen III Hemi, and Isky Racing Cams agrees.

Rolling out a complete line of valvetrain components for Mopar’s latest hot rod engines, Isky Racing Cams covers the whole spectrum of applications. “We have a full line of camshafts for everything from mild street builds to all out race builds for both the 5.7-liter and 6.1-liter Gen III Hemis,” says Rod Tabangui. “We also have profiles for naturally aspirated, supercharged and turbocharged applications as well.”

While camshafts are right in their name, the team at Isky focuses on all aspects of the valvetrain. Their lifters are widely regarded as some of the best in the industry, and that translates into their late-model HEMI offerings. “We worked with Johnson Lifters on the valving of our lifters to get the optimum performance,” revelas Tabangui. “In addition to the standard needle lifters, we have our EZ Roll bushing for heavy-duty applications, that really sets our lifters apart.”

Isky offers both a traditional needle-bearing hydraulic roller lifter and their heavy-duty EZ-Roll bushing-bearing lifter for the Gen III Hemis. The team at Isky worked with Johnson Lifters to get the valving just right for both versions.

To complement their camshafts and lifters, Isky has teamed up with one of the most respected valvespring manufacturers in the business. “We worked with PSI Springs to bring out two valvespring part numbers specifically for the 5.7 and 6.1 Hemi engines,” says Tabangui.
