It’s been quite a few years since I’ve followed drag racing and I’m excited to see familiar faces still involved in the sport.
John Force is an absolute marvel. Still racing at 70, and still rocking it on the lights.
I notice that Luigi Novelli in TF is 76! How is it possible that these older drivers can withstand the G forces involved? I remember Garlits doing a run several years ago and had to stop due to a detached retina from the -Gs of the chutes.
I also notice that several of the drivers are in their 50s & 60s. Has their been an age shift upward in the last decade??? Any reason for this?
