How To Use The Altronics PerformAIRE's One Run Predict Function

For bracket or index racers, there’s something far more valuable than horsepower: it’s having the ability to accurately predict what your car will run each round. The problem is, you can’t really purchase repeatability, but with the right tools like the Altronics PerformAIRE, it can be easier to obtain. This video from Altronics shows how to set up the one-run predict function on the PerformAIRE weather station.

To make the most accurate predictions possible, Altronics has packed the PerformAIRE handheld weather station with an advanced air quality computer. The job of this computer is to look at air temperature, absolute barometric pressure, the relative humidity, and the current percentage of oxygen in the air. All of this is used by the computer to calculate important factors like the density altitude and oxygen altitude to generate predicted values.

Besides having the ability to collect weather data, the PerformAIRE is a warehouse of data for your race car that can store information from each run you make. That information is then used to help predict elapsed times, provide throttle stop settings, and help make jet size choices based on what the PerformAIRE has learned. All of these stored runs have the date and time information added to make finding them for reference easier, as well.

The one-run predict function of the PerformAIRE is a powerful tool that any racer can use to make setting a dial-in or throttle stop easier. Altronics put together this quick video to walk users through just how to use the one-run predict function from a base run they already have made.
